Everything in the World

Seems like it's really the end of Blogger Brazil. The Globo.com has been operating in the red for several years various executives have tried to make this dinosaur internet make money without much success. As no company can live on air, ever since the end of last year that Globo.com has announced changes in its policy of using Blogger Brazil. First they said that those already registered you could stay but they would not accept new registrations, only those who use the globe as the connection provider could create a blog. On occasion, I suspected that such generosity was not surprising and my main concern was the fact that the system Brazil Blogger lets you send images to the server and keep them there. For me it was clear that it would be impossible to host for free an unlimited amount of files to thousands of users. Now those days came the announcement that I had expected: the space for the blogs is now limited to 10 megs and several blogs have been deleted.

I patiently waiting my turn to be deleted as well. I created my blog in April 2003. I only create this Livejournal here in September 2003 because a friend of mine - who is not even my friend - insisted to me. He has proclaimed the benefits of Livejournal, and today I am convinced that there is at least one advantage: the Livejournal does not seem to go away by magic or decide to kick free users from night to day. How
Livejournal is American, there is a greater consistency in service management: layout userpics malleable and many, only with paid account. Someone needs to pay something, after all, a company does not live on air! The Livejournal, Blogger different Brazil, which has no support, technical support has a very good and efficient, free and paid users. The user

Brazilian was spoiled by bad Internet business in Brazil. It: there is no company that can "provide" services for free all the time. Revenue has to come from somewhere. This history of selling advertising on the internet conversation is telling. Almost no company wants to advertise on the Internet because they know that no one pays any attention to banner ads, and much less click on them. It only remains to Internet entrepreneurs build services and charging for them. Most end up choosing to service connection or hosting.

Interestingly however, is that the same Brazilian user who is accustomed to having several free services - blog on Blogspot , email at Hotmail, Yahoo group , etc., etc., not values have no idea when resolve comprar algum serviço de internet.

I am surprised to see people talking about what is "cheap."

No it is not, folks.

know why? Because for just $ 5.90 (yes, five dollars and ninety cents) you can have 70 megs of hosting, with its one www, mail, mysql, 1 gig of monthly traffic and many other hosting services . Compared to that, the $ 5 or $ 15 they were expensive, no?

In Time: The Livejournal is not expensive. It costs $ 25 per year to account or pay $ 5 for two months, support, security and a system that outperforms any blog. And you do not have to worry about the traffic generated - as a system of active programs consume a beautiful journals traffic - or backups.

Many people are kicking against the decisions of Globo.com. I agree with most complaints, especially with the company's lack of tact in dealing with people who, until yesterday, were his clients, paying or not. Not because the user is free he does not have the same rights as paid membership: yes it has. However

the end of Blogger Brazil while free service does not surprise me. You could not make any profit. And the organization Globo.com desperately needs out of the red before which is obliged to admit that much wrong in his "strategies" as the internet company. Posted by
