A friend shared with me and I share with you. This has much to do with what I have written about powerlifting as transcendence. It was comforting to read that at a time when living in conflict with my place in a powerlifting where so many people are worried about self-promotion, betrayals, and conquer it-all-costs. Almost every day I wonder if it's worth participating in these sad circus of greed and ego, and if not better drop everything and lift weights with friends - just me, weights and those with whom I share the joy of raising them.
